Kingdome Sports League Inc. was founded to provide young people with a positive and structured outlet through basketball. As a retired NYPD officer with 25 years of service, I know what it’s like to grow up with few opportunities, especially in the summer. I remember running the streets simply because there was nothing else to do. That’s why I started Kingdome—to give the next generation a safe space to play, grow, and stay off the streets.

For the past 40 years, Kingdome has been more than just a basketball league; it has been a life-changing program for countless young athletes. Through mentorship, competition, and discipline, we’ve helped kids develop confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. Many of our players have gone on to high school and college programs, earning scholarships and even playing professionally.

More importantly, we’ve provided a community where youth feel supported and empowered.

Beyond basketball, Kingdome has strengthened the fabric of our neighborhood. We’ve built relationships with families, coaches, and local organizations to uplift the entire community.
